We’re goin’ solo…

These past couple weeks have been really busy. I have been absolutely swamped with school. But things are good. We are really looking forward to tomorrow and spending a day together as a family with no work, no school, no school work… just cooking, baking, eating, and playing together. We are doing Thanksgiving dinner by ourselves this year. We did it a couple years ago when both kids had chicken pox on Thanksgiving. This year all our family is far away and we chose not to travel. Ryan will most likely be working Friday morning and I have lots of school work to get done before next week. So… we’re on our own.

We’ve doing some this differently – excluding or replacing some of the typical Thanksgiving food and just making the things we love. And doing a little experimenting with the main dish – which will not be turkey. We went to Central Market on Saturday and got several things for the meal. The kids and I are headed to the store this morning to get a few more things. So excited!

Fun idea. We also hit up Central Market yesterday. I love that place.
