Right now I am sitting in a lounge in the student center on campus. I have a couple hour break in between classes that I will use for studying and working on assignments. But since this is the first week of class (and we got out of my first class 2 hours early) there’s not much to work on yet. So I’m killing time.
This semester I am taking classes during the day on Tuesday and Thursday. (Plus one class in the evening on Thursday and one online.) I am thrilled that I will only be gone one night a week. That’s a major improvement from previous semesters. But wow. Campus is sure different during the day and outside of education classes! Totally different demographics.
Anyway, for those who have asked, here are the classes I am taking:
- The Arts in Elementary Education (music, art, and theatre)
- Family Literacy and Second Language Acquisition
- Foundations of Elementary Education (3rd – 6th grade)
- Literacy Learning for PK-6th Students: Reading and Writing
I think it’s going to be a great semester.

Isn't it funny how a campus can change so much just because of the time of day? I saw the same thing when I took classes. I'm glad to hear that you get more time with your family this semester. Enjoy your free time today between classes and good luck this semester!
Sounds like a fun semester.
I'm sure you've told us before, but, what is your major?
